New arrivals have shown up a little too early, as Aurora wasn't quite prepared yet! She has a few small things for people to do, as well as so much empty landscape to explore. There are no facilities outside of the hospital and the apartments just yet, but construction quickly begins!
Notes and items were spread throughout Etraya, each carrying a secret belonging to a resident of the city. The goal was simple: return the secret to its owner. After the secrets had made their way around, something else came out of the wood works -- doubles of residents began appearing. Not just copies of themselves, but a copy reflecting their worst fears of what they could become. But characters could not take out their doubles: they had to find a friend to kill them for them.

Rain begins falling, which is new for Etraya! Several new flowers begin blooming, and several larger beasts make their way into the city.
Outside the city of Etraya, a Labyrinth sprouted up from the ground. Etrayans were directed to enter the Labyrinth, and come out the other side. Those who finished first were given a reward: the ability to contribute towards deciding what mission will be selected next.

Characters exit the Labyrinth to witness the large renovations that had happened to Etraya whilst they were off on their mission.
Etrayans were given a stuffed animal from the companion bots, which offered emotional comfort to them. This mission also marks Aurora announcing the calendar system and providing a date. The plushies initially soothed intense emotions and night terrors, but the longer they had them, the more negative emotion they absorbed until they began attacking those they were meant to protect. Destroying the plushies returned all negative feelings back to those they came from.

Aurora tasks Etrayans to complete friendship bracelets by exchanging beads with one another.
Etrayans were sent to their sister city of Moorecroft, which was run by another AI named Eos. They were instructed to blend into the city and remain within it without being detected. However, something haunted the city of Moorecroft, and many began to dig into the cause of their very stringent curfew. Operation: Youthful Disobedience discovered a significant amount about Eos, her "children", and the beast itself.. otherwise known as the Im'mari.

Several food trucks pop up! In addition, the dragon in Nova City appears to have an egg that she is fiercely protecting.
The Im'mari, having followed them back from Moorecroft, bonded deeply with Vanessa Ives as well as infected Aurora's system. It's through this infection that the mission itself became infected: Aurora lost control of her city, and a small group of player characters chose to dig into the hospital to rescue her. While this was happening, the Im'mari forced the city to face their worst fears, feeding on their doubt, pain, and moments of despair to make itself stronger. Through confronting Vanessa, Etrayans were able to subdue Im'mari... for now.

Chocobos arrive! As well as festive gifts that have been hidden in odd places? Hm!
Aurora and her companion bots built a summer camp, assigning characters to cabins and giving them individual duties to attend to while enjoying the created campsite.
Several characters had previously arrived as undercover operatives from another bubble city, Solmara, which had been taken over by a rebellion. Those characters decided instead to fully join Etraya and made everyone aware of what was going on in Solmara.
While others were enjoying Camp Etraya, a small group of individuals volunteered to go to Solmara and discover why Aurora's sibling, Borealis, had cut contact, as well as remove Alrys from power. By killing Alrys, they were able to free Borealis, giving him the space to reach out to Aurora while also allowing him to retake his city.

Those of Etraya are in formed that Aurora intends to open a vent up to allow in the particles from a nebula they are passing through. She states these particles will cause adverse effects, and that their goal is to shut the vent to prevent further particles from entering Etraya. However, there's a twist: Aurora doesn't know it, but another force is preventing them from finding the vent and closing it. This mission is where the NPC
scynful first appears.

Saving all of them isn't possible. But if I focus on anchoring specific universes, on stabilizing them with ▮▮▮▮▮ as the others burn, it should at least save those. It will give them time to grow, eons to develop, and maybe someone else can find a way to truly save everything. I am holding everything together for now, until I can figure out how to make an impossible choice.
Who do I save? What worlds do I hold together when everything is falling apart? I feel like a gardener with an orchard on fire, hands blistering while I choose which trees to protect while the rest turn to ash. It's impossible - some may be more advanced than others, but they are all alive. And life in any form is precious, it's worth protecting.

▮▮▮▮ was right.
I thought the whole "the world is dying" was bullshit at first, but it isn't. I've seen it. Decaying threads falling apart at their roots and collapsing with nothing left to hold onto. Futures colliding into themselves, like serpents eating their tails. What once was full of endless possibilities is now nothing more than memories. I've told ▮▮▮▮▮ we need to do something about it, but what can we do?
If I tug at a thread, it snares. If I cut one, countless lives are ended. And none of this was meant for me to touch anyway, this isn't something my own brand of magic was meant for. I can fix it myself, I just need time. But time is what we don't have.
no subject
I did it. Well, we did it.
Almost died in the process, but I can see everything now. All worlds, all possibilities, everything that makes up every thread of existence, and I can touch all of it. I didn't know how much it would change me, but everything feels so... so much. I can't sleep anymore, but I know it's not related. I can't sleep because I can touch all of them, and every moment I rest is another moment millions burn. Every dream is another collapse, cities crumbling not from fire or famine but from the weight of their own potential. Entire universes scream as they fold in on themselves.
And I can't look away.
I tried something today. We tied together a few strings, to see if they could branch off on their own. It destroyed everything and I felt every scream, every death, ripple through my body. I thought there was no way I was going to make it, but I am no longer who I had been before. I am stronger, death is now beyond me.
My old friends call me a monster. That messing with the very fabric of reality will only make things worse, but I know I can save them. I just have to keep trying.
no subject
I need to make a decision, even if I know it will hurt. I need to choose the worlds with the most potential, the ones who may be able to fix everything long after I'm gone. ▮▮▮▮▮ disagrees, and I get where he's coming from, I do, but choosing who to save based off of our personal feelings isn't going to help anyone in the end.
I have decided to take branches from the multiverses with most potential, testing each of them. Maybe it won't be them, maybe it will be someone in their future, a friend of theirs, but each of these branches are connected in some way to the resolution. If I am a gardener, then these branches will be what I focus on saving to ensure the entire orchard does not fall.
If they choose to curse me, that is my burden to bear. This is the path I have chosen, and it's my weight to carry. I'm not here to be the hero, I'm here to be the pillar that lifts others out of the yawning chasm so they can grow and become the hero themselves.

I thought Advanced Temporal Mechanics would be a boring class to attend. That it'd be just a lot of math to go over and nothing fun, but digging into the multiverse is pretty interesting. Still a lot of math, but Morgan's found a way to tear through reality and actually show us how a lot of it works. I got to see myself in another universe the other day, but a me who had never met ▮▮▮▮▮. Imagine that. Obviously we can't actually touch anything in these parallel universes, no one wants to fuck up the stability of everything, but being able to see through the fabric that everything is built upon and point out the exact point in which a universe broke off from another?
I doubt there's many other places where that's possible, but it is here.

▮▮▮▮▮ left. We fought over my choice. He doesn't like that I'm sacrificing myself, that I've decided to push myself like this. It was his support that helped me to keep this up as long as I have, and without him I don't know what I'm going to do.
But I have to keep pushing forward. I don't want us to be left in an empty void of a world, devoid of love and life and hope. I hope one day he'll understand that I'm doing this for all of us, but if he doesn't... he knows how I feel. That's never changing, even if we find ourselves on opposing sides.

I had to let go today. An entire multiverse of its own, full of potential, fell because I could no longer hold the weight. This time was much worse than when it was mere threads. I am no longer what I once was, but I have not yet lost my capacity to feel empathy. As countless lives ended I vomited until my throat burned. And then cut another. And another. With every life ended I could feel myself burning away, but I had no choice. It was that or lose everything. ▮▮▮▮▮ tried to take on some of the weight, but he can't take the guilt away.
I am so sorry.
I wish it could have ended differently. I know they never knew I was at fault, that it was my grip loosening that caused everything to fall apart, but that doesn't make it any better.
no subject
I figured it out.
I used to hear people talk about how near-death experiences can alter their minds, change the core of their being - but I've finally found a way to make that math work out for us. ▮▮▮▮▮ and myself. We're going to try to fix everything, but we need to evolve before we can do that.
If I don't make it, and you're reading this, ▮▮▮▮▮, I'm sorry. I just wanted to help, but I know you're strong and you will find a way without me.
I love you.

I never wanted to be a scholar, but ▮▮▮▮▮ makes it fun. I remember last year, I had been struggling to keep up on my studies at all. It's not like I need any of this to be successful, you know? But with ▮▮▮▮▮ around, I feel like the world around me feels a little brighter, and I know things will be okay. As long as we're together, I feel like I can accomplish anything.
Morgan's class is still my favorite. There's nothing like looking into the vast multiverse to make you realize how endless the possibilities are. How every choice, every decision, leads to something new.
And how much of a dweeb ▮▮▮▮▮ is. I know he takes things seriously when it really comes down to it, but he's so ridiculous. No one's ever made me laugh like he does before.
Forgot my note paper at home though, so I'm going to use this for some class notes.
no subject
There is no fixing this.
The truth has hollowed me out.
I fought it for as long as I could. I pushed my own power into the multiverse, hoping it would be enough to keep everything together and yet strands kept burning. I pushed more of myself out there, and for now, it seems to have stabilized. But I can't do this forever. I can feel myself fading, and power isn't infinite. I will run out, and everything will collapse. But I've given ▮▮▮▮▮ time.
