Other Known Cities

Story Thus Far

Etraya is the name of the planet Aurora’s city resides within, as well as the name of Aurora’s city! However, her city is not the only one present on the planet.

On the opposite side of the planet is a second bubble city, called Solmara.

Solmara, when it had been visited by Etrayans, was very much a desert city; there was not much plantlife present, and the creatures roaming within it were volatile more often than not. The AI in charge of the city, Borealis, was nowhere to be found - his influence was limited to the levels below the hospital, as he had chosen to, for the most part, abandon all of those on the surface. They received their mission assignments and were given enough supplies to survive, but outside of that? Borealis had more important things to handle.

At the end of the vestiges’ visit to Solmara, they had managed to remove Alrys, who had overtaken the city, from power - and convince Borealis to be a more active participant with his city’s people.

Moorecroft Village is the city bubble run by the AI known as Eos. The city itself feels rather peaceful: rows of almost identical houses fill the streets, and each new arrival is assigned a family unit to support them.

But like every other city bubble, the vestiges within Moorecroft must complete missions to prove their worth to Echo. Still, the city itself feels almost idyllic: family units support one another during mission down-time, they have normal “jobs” within the city that they must attend to when they aren’t out on a mission, there is a school built for the younger children, and everyone is assigned both daily, and weekly chores to attend to.

The city is clean, well taken care of, and many of the individuals living within it have been participating long enough to feel almost at home within the city’s barrier.

The AI running the city, Eos, is known for being very direct, taking on more of a no-nonsense personality. She does not tolerate others speaking up against her, and will not hesitate to temporarily kill anyone who happens to be pushing the limits just a little too hard.

Pollux is extremely high-tech, with tall buildings that reach up to the end of the protective barrier’s limitations. There is a small park toward the center of the city, but the rest of it is composed of buildings all maintained by the companion bots - who are always very, very busy. Castor seems much more obsessed with maintenance of his city and keeping everything crisp and updated than focused on the residents themselves: he sends them off on their missions, ensures they have what they need, but otherwise leaves them be to do as they please. And he has a habit of. . . forgetting some residents on occasion.

After all, Castor is a very busy AI with many things currently on his plate, and he isn’t going to wait for anyone who is running behind! Residents of Pollux must learn to keep to Castor’s schedule, or suffer the consequences.
