⏵ ACTIVITY ⏴ There are no activity requirements for Etraya. The only requirement is posting a comment sometime during the month noting that you are still interested in continuing playing in the game. Because of this, there is also no hiatus page for the game.
However, there are activity rewards characters can earn for participating in gameplay. Points are accumulative over their time in game, but the points reset if you drop then reapp your character. Points can only be submitted the month the thread occurred - if it goes through a few months, submitting it in the last month is acceptable.
If a player is unable to participate in an event and needs a reason for their character to be unavailable, please let us know either in your AC comment, or on the Mod Contact post, and we will work something out.
Players can edit their AC points for previous months as long as a reward has not been requested since. IE, if Henry has been in game since January, and did simple check ins from January through March but wanted to request an item, his player could go and back track through his threads for the last three months. However, if Henry had been in the game January-March and requested a small reward in February, we would not accept edits to points totals from January or February, only for March. Once a mod notes your point total, you cannot edit to add more points above that.
⏵ EARNING ACTIVITY REWARDS ⏴ Activity Rewards are earned by playing in game, and participating in missions. The requirements for earning activity rewards are as follows:
- Comments posted in
etraya, etrayalogs, etrayamemes, or character inboxes.
- The maximum amount of points that can be submitted for in one month is twenty-five.
- If using TDM threads, characters do not need to be accepted into the game for the threads to count for activity bonuses.
- The noted comment count is for your character, not the comment count total for the thread.
- Open network posts are worth one point, regardless of the amount of threads on them. However, this means that the network post itself cannot be tallied into the point totals for threads on the post.
- Network threads must be at least ten comments long to be submitted for activity rewards.
- Logs must be at least five comments long to be submitted for activity rewards.
A ten comment network thread counts as one point. If the thread reaches twenty comments, it is two points.
A five comment log thread counts as one point. If it reaches ten comments, it is worth two points.
These numbers will continue to increase as the thread comment count raises. The maximum a thread can be worth is five points.
These are doubled when they are related to a current mission. Any other specifics on extra points for a mission will be noted in the mission log or accompanying network post.
While the nature of how base activity points are given is not known ICly, characters do know they receive points for participating in missions, and for interacting with Etraya's setting.
⏵ ACTIVITY SUBMISSION ⏴ Once accepted into the game, please post a comment with your name, and then your character's name in a subheader below that. There is an example of what it should look like posted by the mod journal below.
If no points were earned in the current month, simply post a comment with the header "(MONTH, YEAR)" or "(MONTH, ACTIVITY)" with a note that no threads are being submitted for activity rewards. Otherwise, please still post the header "(MONTH, YEAR)" or "(MONTH, ACTIVITY)" and include links to your threads. If requesting a reward, please use "(MONTH) REWARD REQUEST" and use the following to submit for reward points:
⏵ ACTIVITY REWARDS ⏴ Currently available activity rewards are listed below. Please note this is not an extensive list: if your character wants something that is not listed, please feel free to post a comment requesting it, and we'll give you an idea of how much that item would cost!
Five (5) Points - A small item from home, such as a personal cell phone or a favorite book.
Ten (10) Points - An item that will assist with the upcoming mission. Characters will not know what the mission is when requesting this, and they will not know what item they will receive until it's given to them.
Fifteen (15) Points - A smaller-sized vehicle, such as a motorcycle.
Fifteen (15) Points - A pet. This could be your best friend Sparky, or Krypto the Superdog. As long as they're not appable, they can be requested.
Twenty (20) Points - A large vehicle, such as a smaller-sized ship, or the batmobile.
Twenty (20) Points - An item they had back home that would provide long-term assistance with missions. A spell book for a warlock is a good example of this.
Thirty (30) Points - A setting addition. This could be a massive pirate ship or a building of the character's choice. While what is added by the companion bots is done automatically upon arrival, this request is something the character themselves request. Fifty (50) Points - A "get out of death free" pass. This can be purchased anytime for anyone who dies, not just the one who asked for the pass. This will negate the cost of death, but can only be used once every six months.
Sixty (60) Points - A free pass out of a mission. This can be used by the character requesting it, or it can be gifted to a friend. These can only be requested once every six months and can be used before or after the mission has been assigned. ⏵ QUICK PLAYER INDEX ⏴ A - CAbel Adiva Allen Amanda Arisa Aru Ashlee Basil Batty Beth BG Bri Bryo Bugly Bunny C Cass Chai Chey Chrono Crystal
