⏵ PLOTTING ⏴ This post is for all plot-related questions! Things that don't have to be run by mods: A character wants to use an empty space to build something (though you may want to add it to locations!). A character starts a fight with another character. A character does something within the guidelines of a mission that would not affect the entire player base. Things that should be run by the mods: A character kills an important NPC during a mission. Maybe your character wants to recruit a few other characters to try and escape the city, maybe they want to try and interact with Echo directly, or attempt to hack into the system at the hospital. We'll do our best to build plots around your ideas; if you dislike what we throw back at you, please let us know, and we'll offer alternatives when possible. Game plots are meant to be interesting for players and make playing in the game fun; to that extent, we'll do what we can to give you plot you can build off of.

1) He would need the earpiece's signature to connect to Aurora's network. Connor could always download information off the earpiece, and no longer need it after that point!

2 and 2b) Aurora runs the entire network on Etraya, meaning she has full access to what is being passed through it. If he's saving data to his hard drive instead of passing it around, she won't automatically have access to it as his system, while connected to the network, is not part of hers.

But she does respect Connor's right to privacy, and will not be interfacing with him directly without first asking his permission after getting him settled. We're open to Connor being able to recognize if she goes digging around in his system! She would have initially before he woke up in the hospital (nothing malicious, just sifting through data), so Connor could have recognized her going through information at that point, thus also giving him reason to know he would recognize if she was attempting to again.

would Connor be able to interface with the companion bots/possible give them directions/communicate with them wirelessly? possibly use them to spy/gain information (ex: once connection has been established and a companion bot is near a character he wants to find, could they exchange info?) or are they too below his pay grade?

f/u on that: since the network's programming been downloaded to his system, can he use those earpieces to track people/as GPS or are they totally anonymous/untraceable?

EXTRA f/u: would he be able to request a reward that equals to being able to interface with the companion bots if he is previously unable to? or, a special GPS tracking through the network that would only work w/ permission from other players?

Connor would initially be able to interface with the companion bots to give them directions/communicate with them wirelessly. However, with continued use, he'll discover their programming begins evolving to prevent him from gaining access.

Connor would have to have direct access to earpieces first (have someone hand him one of theirs) and connect to them that way before being able to track them, but it's possible.

I think this also answers your follow-up question! If he requested access to the companion bots from Aurora (we would put this at about fifteen points), she would give him access to two specific companion bots. Not 'Corrine' or any of those who manage locations, but some of the more generic ones. He would not need to request GPS tracking, just gain physical access to earpieces first.
